ANXIETY
CHOCOLATE AND KEYFRAMES
A day trying to be creative.
What’s this? This is about anxiety, chocolate, and pure keyframes.
A visual essay.
1. Anxiety as a copilot.
There are some days when frustration becomes anxiety. Frustration for not being able to get what I have in mind, or for not being able to control all the things on the screen. Have I set the goal too high for myself? Or it’s just a bad day? The problem is that we need to prove that we are who we've said we are. That’s when anxiety arrives, fueled by all that coffee I thought would make me work better.
For sure, I’m not the only one on this.

2. Chocolate
Be ready when the opportunity calls.
That's what motivates all my personal projects. It’s just about rehearsing. So, when Lindt or another brand (hopefully Lindt) calls me to create an animation, I’d feel ready to say, yes! Also, chocolate is my treatment for anxiety.
3. Keyframes, hold keyframes.
I’ve been doing too many simulations lately, but most of the time I’m hired to animate and not simulate; And, since I don't think I’d like to become a VFX animator, I tried to go right to the opposite end, using as many hold-keyframes or step-keyframes to create a stop-motion-y feeling.
